Hand dyed Yarn
All of my yarn is hand dyed by me in small batches; usually 3-5 hanks at a time. It depends on the technique I am using or effect I am trying to achieve.
I use high quality yarn bases from various sources. All my sources use fibers that are ethically sourced and use processes throughout the entire process to ensure best practices for the animals and humans, as well as the environment.
I use professional dyes in the creation of all my colorways. I practice the "no dye left behind" credo. Meaning, sometimes there is dye stock left over, or in the pans, so rather than discarding them, I either save them for another time or dye a hank or two of yarn to use it up. This creates some gorgeous and unexpected colors.
